There two Irishmen were passing a pub - well, it could happen.
~Frank Carson~
When anyone asks me about the Irish character, I say look at the trees. Maimed, stark and misshapen, but ferociously tenacious.

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars. ~Oscar Wilde~
Irish Poet & Playright

Ireland, thou friend of my country in my country's most friendless days, much injured, much enduring land, accept this poor tribute from one who esteems thy worth, and mourns thy desolation.

May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.

Green is definitely not my favorite color with which to decorate, BUT...I love those George Jones plates! Just enough green!
ReplyDeleteGeorge Jones always makes my heart beat a bit faster...and thos linen and lace napkin are superb! Gorgeous as always. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteOverwhelmingly gorgeous!!! I just love the placements.
ReplyDeleteYour table is overwhelmingly beautiful. I love your placemats.
ReplyDeleteThose dishes are stunning, Nancy! So pretty and a lovely table for your daughter's birthday!
ReplyDeletePretty tablescape and great dishes!
ReplyDeleteMy gosh, Nancy! I think this is one of the prettiest tablescapes I have ever seen...maybe because I AM Irish...but mostly because you did such a fantastic job! Happy St. Paddy's Day! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful.....
ReplyDeleteThis is a truly beautiful, classic table. Every detail is lovely--those "placemats" are gorgeous and perfect for the "occasion," the dishes, of course, are perfect too. Except for the goblets/Irish coffee there's nothing that blatantly says St. Patrick's, but the overall table certainly does. Lovely constraint. Lovely. ~Zuni
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous tablescape! All the rest I've seen have too much green. Yours is a perfect balance of green and white and the dishes and glassware are lovely!
ReplyDeleteRhonda (I changed my google password and can't remember it, so I'm signing in as anonymous!)
Very beautiful. Love the plates and the place mats and oh all the glasses.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous tablescape! I love how you positioned your placemats and I love your plates especially the raised edges. The glasses are really pretty too...Christine
ReplyDeleteI should not have read this post this early in the morning! I caught site of that cup of beautiful Irish coffee, and now I feel that I MUST have some...NOW!!! This is going to make doing a laundry a lot more fun! :-) Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and yours, and Happy Birthday to your daughter!
ReplyDeleteLook at all that green! Beautiful as all of your tables are, Nancy. Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteOh Nancy, I do not know which I love more - the tablescape (love the flatware), or the quotes about my beloved Ireland, land of my relatives. So, so beautiful. Thank you. I want to come play in your china closet!
ReplyDeleteStill love the detail on those square plates. Using the round underneath them to peek at the edges is a genius idea. Also is using the lace edge napkins on point. They really add a striking look to the entire setting. Lovely, lovely, lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis is just so "Irish"!! Absolutely gorgeous.. wow the napkins. and the darling glasses with the shamrocks.. Nancy, you just set the prettiest tables.. Happy St. Pat's.. have a great weekend. xo marlis
ReplyDeleteNancy, I think this is one of the prettiest St. Pat's Day tables I've ever seen. Your linens, dishes, flatware, stemware, flowers.~ every detail is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous setting. ~ sarah
ReplyDeleteStunning! Those Irish linen naps as mats steal the show!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking this beautiful table up to my blog crawl, and the Irish cream too!
Nancy I wrote a long comment and thought I pressed publish but it did not appear. I LOVE table. I looked for some napkins like you have today. they are so beautiful. Of all the tables I've seen posted for this holiday I really like yours the best. I like how you put the crisp white against the dark wood. For some reason it just reminds me more of the Ireland of my ancestors. And your dishes and all your details.... It is all just stunning.
ReplyDeleteNann
Hi! I am not a fan of green color but in this tablescape, you did it in a very fabulous way. I love the elegance and the dazzling effects of green glitters from the napkin rings. So vibrant. I love it.
ReplyDeleteSpandex Table Covers
I love your tablescape in a little green Nancy. Your dishes as always are gorgeous and your stems too. Very elegant and inviting. The napkin rings are great detail, along with the pretty place mats for St. Patty's Day. Thanks for sharing. I'm trying to find out how much a set of complete 8 place settings cost to be shipped here to Ecuador, by ship. As soon as I know I will let you know if I'm lucky. HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S EVENING to you and yours and happy birthday to your "laddie"! Hope you visit my tablescape in honor of my Irish friends. Lots of luck and kisses!
ReplyDeleteFABBY
