I set the table with a set of transferware dishes we use daily in our house. Although this is a vintage set, I run it through the dishwasher every day...and with six kids, trust me...these get used! The pattern is Woodland by Ridgway. On this particular night we had what my kids have dubbed 'Brinner' (when we have breakfast for dinner) and it's one of their favorite meals.
Mr. and Mrs. Hare hopped over for some of my hubbies Swedish Pancakes and my Canadian Bacon Casserole.
The Woodland pattern is also named Aimcee. I like the muted colors of brown, blue, gold and green in the pattern and paired it with a floral tablecloth in the same. Mr. & Mrs. Hare are dressed to match!

ReplyDeleteLove the concept of "Brinner". I'll have to try that one out on my children. Sometimes on a weekend when we've had a late breakfast, we have "Dunch", lunch and dinner together.

He does blown glass work & it is amazing. The works are designed to imitate nature. When I saw the bowls & a couple of other arrangements, I immediately thought about how it would be to capture the colors in fabrics (batiks, etc). One day!

Beautiful table setting. I'm glad that you posted for I thought of you today. I have ran across your blog from time to time during blog parties and have been so attracted to your wonderful collection of transferware. Today I was out thrifting and happened upon 4 lovely little bread plates in a beautiful shade of green with some pink flowers and a sweet little blue bird. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the pattern printed on the back but they were made in England. My thoughts immediately went to "the blog about transfeware"...your blog! Anyways, I left them because they were $15.00 but those little plates are haunting my thoughts. I might have to go back tomorrow! :) Just might be the beginning of another collection.

Nancy, you have created such a lovely tablescape. I love you bunnies and they go so well with your beautiful transferware. I especially LOVE your entire dining room. I've been staring, eh drooling, over it for about 15 minutes now. I keep clicking on the pictures to enlarge them and admiring the room over and over again. I've even been looking at the house plan I want to build one day to see if I can arrange my furniture just like yours. It is just my style and absolutely gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing it with me. Oh I LOVE Mr. and Mrs. Hare! They are so pretty. I have the Ridgways Apple Blossum. Every time I see a Ridgways pattern, I think their patterns would look pretty combined on a table. It seems that there are number of patterns with similar colors. Lovely tablescape. laurie

I got Mr. and Mrs. Hare about 8-12 years ago and I'm pretty certain I bought them at a store here called Sunshine Warehouse that carried decorative home items, they now carry furniture exclusively. For those of you who asked about them you might try Ebay or other online auctions. I am online at auctions alot so if I see some I'll post or let you all know! I think they're pretty cute too!
