Tea today is being served in a coffee pot...is that breaking etiquette rules big time? My teascape today began with these great, reversible chair cushions from Creations by Me.
Mary Anne is an Etsy shop owner who makes these darling chair pads with ties and big ruffles. And the best part, besides being adorable, is that they are reversible from one ivy print to another. Look at each chair pad in the pic below and you can see how it looks each way! Isn't this wonderful? I love it! I love ruffles too!
Let the layerig begin!!!
I wanted to set a table with green so I brought out some of these green transferware dessert plates by Grindley. AVAILABLE HERE
My little wired songbird holders are available at Simply Abundant...and abundant is no joke. Eileen carries over three thousand home decor items! She sent me these metal, leaf motif napkin rings to. They are from her Nature Walk line and have an oil rubbed finish. I love that type of finish on just about anything! It's so popular right now. Simply Abundant has about 40 items in this line, lots of table linens, wall hooks and candle holders. Wish I had some more of these...they are so pretty. I doubled up my napkins and used some brown cotton under green jacquard my Mom in law gave me at Christmas.
I first set up in my breakfast nook and laid out a pretty lace tablecloth that I bought in the Cayman islands years ago. I think the checked pattern of solid white and white lace is so pretty. Next I added a tapestry table topper I bought in Galveston, TX long ago. It had just the right amount of green, plus shades of orange which were in my flowers I'd purchased and some little canape plates from Steinmart.
I used square rattan chargers (you can get these at Walmart for under $5 a piece) and then added these gorgeous, English plates by Crown Ducal. They have a stunning embossed border of apples and roses and wonderful Spring/Summer colors of yellow, green, blue and rust. I topped them with the green plates because I wanted the floral border to show and then topped each with the canape plate. The canape plates each have different designs on them. Bird, dragonfly, butterfly and flower.
I mixed my fresh flowers of Dahlia, Calibracha...I think these are little mini petunias...does anyone know?... and some vinca vine and put them in one of my favorite pieces which is a soup tureen minus it's lid by Adams in the Italian pattern.
I found a bag of tiny sliced logs and scattered them all around the table, onto the chargers and my cupcake server which is an antiqued iron stand with three leaf shaped holders. My flatware is Spode Woodland.
My coffee pot is in the English Scenery Pattern by Enoch Woods. I love the floral border and pastoral scene. It's available HERE
The cups and saucers are simply title Fruit. They are also English transferware, by Wood & Sons. Available HERE.
And something I absolutely, absolutely think is so, so cool is this hand flatware carrier. This was also made by Mary Ellen at Creations by Me. It matches the chair pads and holds eight complete sets of flatware. There are eight individually sewn compartment. Just put your silverware in, roll it up and tie. So cute!

Nancy too.
Nancy, YOur table and colors are beautiful! I love the greens, browns and the softened oranges.
ReplyDeleteYour canape dishes are the perfect compliment to the green transferware. Very different but they play so nicely together! I do love those reversible chair pads. They have a generous ruffle that makes them look so rich.
And they are reversible, so clever. It was such a brilliant idea to casually toss those branch cross sections around, they give you table a little fun feel.
Lovely job! So so well done!
Yvonne
