Half boxed and half homemade, this is a perfect blend of banana bread and cake...it's not as heavy as traditional bread but it's full of flavor and is super moist! I make this for our family of 8 and we devour it! It's gotten the official 'soooooo tasty' remark from all the kiddos. Shawn and I love it too! I've topped it with my homemade Cream cheese Maple frosting or simply whipped cream. I think we like it best with the whipped cream but I'm a sucker for sweets and Maple frosting is a favorite for me. I'll post that recipe next time I make this with the frosting...or drop me an email if you'd like it.

This recipe sounds wonderful! I use the Pillsbury banana bread mix but I usually just add nuts and substitute the oil with applesauce. This sounds so much better. I am making a copy now.
ReplyDeleteNancy, That looks yummy, and pretty easy to whip together. I just started the Atkins diet to lose 15 pounds :-( .... but I will make it for hubby!

I am putting that on the top of my "to make" list. I have one over ripe banana at the moment, so I have to let the others get so.
