Blue Transferware Tea Display & Shop Makeover

Last week Shawn and I spent alot of time painting at the warehouse/shop to prepare for opening a physical store in June.  We painted one wall with leftover paint from the dining room...it's called Banana Nut which you can see on the wall in the pictures below.

I decided to do a tea setting using mixed patterns of blue transferware.

  I first laid down this gorgeous, sky blue  Heritage Lace table topper from Priscilla's Lace and Linens.  If you like the classic look of Heritage Lace, Priscilla's is the place to go!  She has almost 800 choices of Heritage Lace linens including window sheers,curtains, table runners, napkins and more in her on line shop.  The selection is huge with lots of color choices.  I had no idea that there were so many different pieces by Heritage Lace.  

I just love this sky blue color in the lace topper here on the table. 

 I draped it at an angle so it would only partially cover the table and hang over the sides to show the scalloped edges of the lace topper.

 This topper would be equally gorgeous over a white cloth on a round table.

  I chose four different tea cups and saucers to display on this wire stand with yellow flowers winding up its side next to a tall figurine of a girl in a long blue dress .

These vintage embroidered napkins look nice fanned out at the base of the teacup stand.

This teapot is in my favorite transferware pattern, Byron by Spode.  I collect it in the brown polychrome which you can see some of HERE as well as read about the artist, J C Horsley, whose work is shown on these pieces. 

The sugar bowl and creamer are by J & G Meakin.  I placed them on a pretty yellow ironstone platter, also by Meakin.

I stacked some dessert plates on a small plant stand to add a little height and balance with the other side of the table.

These Meakin, Romantic England plates depict deer grazing on a lawn at Pehshurst Place.  I like the border of berries and little flowers all around it.

The pitcher is by James Kent...isn't this is a pretty pattern of roses and garland?

Here is one of the pieces that Kathryn at Bonafide Southern selected from the giveaway I had a couple of weeks ago.  It's a divided dish by Midwinter.  Gorgeous!  Congratulations again!

Oh, I almost forgot...here's a picture of the wall before we painted and set up the blue transfeware tea display.  It looks so much better even in this photo as you can't really see all the marks and dings in the wall...but they were there!
