Romantic Whimsical Table for Two

This post will be short on words.  This week has been so busy with school, four kids in soccer and the endless amount of taxiing them to and from jobs, practices, etc. etc.  I'm so ready for a good nights sleep! ;-)

Hope you all had a safe, relaxing and fun Labor Day weekend!

Here's what happens when you combine  linens with lace, birdie tureens, candles, Parisian toile towels, hand stamped roses, vintage chenille,  a little silver, a little brass, old English transferware and a wee bit of imagination...

  Elegantly ribbed, Manor taper candles in ivory by Zest Candles add just the right touch of romantic light.

The hand crafted Parisian Glass Coasters displayed around the table and tucked into the cabbage roses are available in sets of four at TZaddishop.  Aren't they beautiful?

These plump bird tureen / canisters came from Decorators Friend. They sell matching accessories too.  Cute, aren't they?

I have no idea what the item below is...found it at GW and thought it would be cute as a tealight holder.   It consists of two pieces, the pedestal base and a small bowl with a hole in the bottom.  It has a frosted finish that I thought was pretty.

 

 My tablecloth is a vintage chenille bedspread...like $5 at a thrift store and it's in perfect shape!

 

 I used a few shades of blue ranging from very pale to aqua.  The light blue Fostoria crystal ice tea glasses are from Bid&Bought.  This Ebay carries a gorgeous selection of glassware.

 

 

I mixed flatware and tucked it into lacey flatware caddies.  The aqua blue lace is a little coaster from The Golden Turtle tucked inside for added color and texture.

Sage / Olive green transferware is unusual to see and quite beautiful. It blends with so many colors.  I combined two patterns in this colorway at this tablesetting.    The dinner plates are Romantic England and I have some in my Etsy shop, available HERE.

I used the coffee service as a centerpiece above a mound of mixed roses and Frenchy objects like the hand stamped roses, clothespins and glass coasters.  A Little Scrappy is an Etsy shop I love and a great source for hand stamped ribbon and the like.  Her pricing is sooooo reasonable!
