It is Monday morning and I am anxiously waiting on Tara Young, Etsy's in house producer to arrive at my house. I've pulled out some transfer ware she requested to see and/or feature in the documentary and thought I'd show you these blue turkey plates I just recently acquired.
I've got a full set of 12 plus the ginormous matching platter. I think this is the first time I've had so many turkey plates in one pattern.
You don't often see blue at Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to creating a tablescape with these, using orange and browns as accents. Orange and blue are complementary colors.
The plates are in my shop now, but won't be available for shipping until after the 18th when Etsy's done filming.

I love the blue and white for Thanksgiving -- with yellow or orange it sets a pretty table -- I have two different kinds -- 8 each and I am yearning for the Spode Festival turkey platter . . . . What a great find of 12 plates AND the platter! Looking forward to your update.

I bought an Enoch Wood blue and white turkey plate and was lucky enough to get it at half price. One day I opened up the cabinet it was in and it came crashing to the floor. I was just sick and I never even got to use it. Boo hoo!

ReplyDeleteI love these blue turkey transferware plates!! I think blue is the perfect color to go with the oranges and browns of Autumn. You are the one who helped me to see that a couple of years back, when I was trying to figure out how to use my Liberty Blue dishes on my Thanksgiving table. I still think of you each Thanksgiving when I set my table.
