Friday Finds

April 19, 2024

Happy Friday!!!

Check out the latest arrivals!  I've added some gorgeous pieces this week!  My absolute favourite is this stunning, three color Stone China transfer plate dating to the 1830's.  Rarely do you find yellow and this color combination is beyond gorgeous!  From my personal collection.

Another piece from my personal collection is this extra large, double / divided serving bowl by Spode from the Richmond View series.  This piece is rarely found and is extra special being a two color transfer with hand enamelled scenery!  Below this, another stunner by Spode, dating to the Aesthetic Movement era (late 1880's) is this fluted botanical plate in a plethora of colors!  Next, a pretty hexagon shaped bowl and pitcher set with an embossed rim and English roses.

More Spode, a classic Camilla covered butter dish, a stunning embossed / relief bordered blue plate by Meakin with a bucolic cattle scene, and a vintage German majolica plate.

Always in demand, this blue Charlotte butter tub with a resting cow on top, an early Staffordshire children's china sugar bowl and a Tonquin napkin ring.

I guess I'm into Butter tubs this week because this English advertising BUTTER dish is a great find.  The green polychrome floral platter is extra large and if you want to use it for display it looks equally good in a vertical or horizontal position.  Lastly, another Aesthetic Movement piece by Wedgwood featuring Lilies.
