Why didn't I think of this before?
While cleaning the powder bath I was not liking how ugly that toilet bowl brush is setting there pushed back as far behind the toilet as possible where I hoped it wouldn't show. It did show though.
Lightbulb time!
"Hey, I've got a perfect brown transferware pitcher for this". This is a huge pitcher from the Aesthetic Movement (click to read about it...this is my all time most viewed post and still gets over 500 hundred views a month). The pitcher originally would have gone to a wash set but I'm sure the bowl is a long goner. It's got a little damage to the base and some discoloration on one side so it's perfect for this. So, I went and got it, and here it is now helping hide the toilet bowl brush.
Sure beats that plastic case it was in before!

ReplyDeleteI have never understood the need to keep a cleaning tool out in the open, but if you must, this is a charming way to do it!
Hi Anonymous, I agree actually, but I think this is one thing that's also hard to store somewhere else besides right where you need it. My powder bath doesn't have any cabinet or vanity at all (pedestal sink) and it does make it difficult to find storage space for things like this that you don't want to show, especially in this room that's used primarily for guests.
